Pre Conference Workshop

Emerging Practitioners

Carla du Plessis and Christiaan Brand will be speaking at the Pre-Conference Workshop aimed at Emerging Practitioners on 22 February.
 
Delegates will gain valuable insights into the importance of creating an exceptional candidate experience using development centres. They will explore both theoretical and practical aspects of designing and applying development centres that foster learning and engagement. Additionally, delegates will learn about recent trends in development centres and how these have been implemented to improve the employee experience.

Pre Conference Workshop

Join the Pre-Conference Workshop to enhance your Competency Based Interviewing skills, from designing and conducting interviews to assessing data effectively—all while leveraging digital tools for fairness, objectivity, and standardisation.
 

Purpose of Workshop

 

This one-day workshop aims to transfer knowledge and skills in:

  1. Designing and developing a CBI

  2. Conducting the CBI (Data Collection)

  3. Assessing the collected data

 

The use of digital support during the above processes is demonstrated and explored. Specifically:

·       Can video interviews use CBI methodologies to enhance fairness, objectivity and standardisation?

·       How to anchor with BARS using video technologies

·       Training video interviewers to enhance consistency
